Description
2020: An archaeological evaluation by means of trenching revealed no archaeological finds or features. Two trenches were excavated, measuring 17.00m x 1.90m and 28.00m x 1.90m in advance of the construction of two new houses. Topsoil was present to a depth of 0.25m overyling natural deposits of sand and gravel. The location of the development on a slope suggest that the site lies outside the enclosed hilltop identified to the north (EXG 082, EXG 005, EXG 028) placing the site on the periphery of potential settlement activity further upslope.
