Description
Evaluation trenching for a planned residential development comprising four dwellings following the demolition of a community building originally erected in 1944/1945 for military personnel at a site some 300m from the edge of the medieval town did not reveal any features or finds of pre-mid-20th century date. That this site is close to the site of a possible medieval leper hospital indicates that this was open ground in the past
