Description
Evaluation trenching for a 9 dwelling development at a former garage site at the southern end of the major Roman period site at Long Melford and adjacent to a Roman period road line indicated recent major ground disturbance from the removal of fuel tanks and associated garage features and the two evaluation trenches confirmed this truncation of deposits and no archaeological features or finds were revealed.
