Description

Evaluation trenching for a 9 dwelling development close to the edge of a medieval green called Button Haugh (HER EWL 061) revealed one very small gully of recent date and a number of field and mole drains of 19th to 20th century date. The background scatter of stray finds were small fragments of later Post medieval date and a single small medieval sherd. Five trenches were excavated to a depth of 0.4m.
