Description
An archaeological record and analysis at Historic England (2016) Level 2 of a complex of redundant farm buildings known for planning purposes as Red House Barns. The site is recorded as a farmstead on the Suffolk Historic Environment Record (FRD 032). The report has been prepared to the standard specified by Suffolk County Council’s Archaeological Service and is intended to inform a planning application for conversion. The text is accompanied by a CD containing a full photographic record in the form of 103 Canon 5D digital images of 21 megapixels (Appendix 1), but also includes 24 photographs of key features to illustrate the text (Appendix 2). Each image is described in a separate schedule and wherever possible shows a scale rod with half-metre divisions in red and white. The site was inspected on 8th October 2021.
