Description
Archaeological desk-based assessment was undertaken on land at Duke Street, Ipswich following a proposal for redevelopment the site for a residential development. Identified moderate archaeological potential for the Prehistoric periods and low archaeological potential form Roman, Anglo Saxon and Early Medieval periods. The Fore Hamlet and Duke Street frontages of the site are thought to have a good archaeological potential for the Late Medieval periods.
