Description
An archaeological trial trench was undertaken on land off Sandy Lane for the construction of an agricultural building and rainwater haversting tank. No significant archaeological remains were identified. Naturally formed anomalies in the natural chalk were noted, and a single archaeological feature within Trench 1 was probably a cultivation mark of late Post-Medieval or Modern date.
