Full Description

Substantial group of mainly unglazed C13-C14 pottery, with at least 3 part- glazed sherds, probably from Grimston-type jugs, C13-C15. Also 3 lava mill stone fragments; a large piece of slag with a bowl-shaped base, from the bottom of a furnace; a piece of over-fired clay from a furnace; and oyster shell. Found close to a former field boundary (S1).
