Full Description
Mettingham Hall is early C17, of two storeys and attic with twin Dutch gable front, (quoting (R1)). A charming house with Flemish gables, retaining traces of early work and part of a moat (quoting (R2)).
Three arms of the moat remain, all waterfilled. Although there is only a field drain on the N side this is almost certainly the diminished remains of the N arm. Published survey (25 inch) revised. The Hall is now a farm house (J Baird FI 15 March 1968) (S1).
Isolated (S2).
