Full Description

1977: "A bowl barrow, discovered during field investigation, situated on level sandy soil on the edge of the Kings Forest. It measures overall about 32m SW to NE by 27m transversely by 1.0m high with no visible ditch. The SE side has been mutilated by a forest track and the mound generally has been disturbed by rabbits" (S1).
1970s: mapped by OS as definitely partly within Kings Forest (existing scheduled area all within arable field and outside Kings Forest - surely incorrect!).
February 1979: Visited by E Martin for Suffolk Barrow Survey - unlocated! (S2).
June 1998: Scheduled - details in (S3) but see above.
