Full Description
Mill shown on Hodskinson's 1783 map of Suffolk (S1) and on OS 1st edition of 1836 (S2).
1904 OS 25 inch map shows this as a water mill marked as `corn mill' (S3). A water mill is also shown on Kirby's mill of 1736 (S4) although this is marked E of river bridge rather than to W. May be the earlier mill or mislocation.
For details including note of an eel sluice see (S5).
For earlier watermill/s in Icklingham see IKL Misc.
