Full Description
A watching brief on the topsoil stripping for an extension to a gravel quarry revealed traces of settlement. A short rescue excavation using a M.S.C. funded team was mounted to record the features discovered.
In the SE corner of the site a small pit contained fragments of a Neolithic Mortlake-style vessel.
Details in (S1)(S2)(S3) and excavation archive.
