Full Description

Silver coin hoard found circa 1880/1890. 230 silver coins from Constantius II (circa AD 323) to Honorius listed (S1)(R1). Note Moore lists this as the same as the 1877 Dix's Charity Land hoard (S2), IKL 060, and Archer states "it is difficult to believe that the three (silver) Icklingham hoards (also see IKL 060 & Misc Rom) are not part of a single hoard, originally buried in several containers" (S1).
For further Icklingham coin hoards, see IKL 018 (1877 villa excavation) & IKL Misc Rom (CRNs 10400 (found 1906) and 10398 & 10401).

Formerly recorded as IKL MISC
