Full Description

Cropmarks of a circular dark mark and parallel linear features, initially interpreted as a marl pit and trackway, but with the very faint possibility of a burial mound for the circular mark (S1).
Site examination showed a noticable break in slope and hollow for the circular mark.
Excavation showed the source of the cropmarks as fairly well defined soilmarks, but with wavering and somewhat irregular edges. Features when dug out had diffuse bottoms and could not be excavated, the fills were clean and without stratigraphy or finds (S2).
It is concluded that all features are of geological origin.
