1979: Fieldwalking by Myrtle Taylor located `fairly well preserved ditches and banks on Dove House ("Field VI"), with traces of a moat (?) and various "humps and bumps" (S1).

Full Description

1979: Fieldwalking by Myrtle Taylor located `fairly well preserved ditches and banks on Dove House ("Field VI"), with traces of a moat (?) and various "humps and bumps" (S1). Along South-East side is Roman and 12th - 18th century pottery scatter (Probably original manor, moat, ditch and banks underground) shown on map (S1)
Also 100gm Med pottery on E corner of field to W ("Field VII")(S2). Med or PMed?
