Full Description

Circular wall bastion (?) shown on Thos Warren's 1776 town map (S1). Not shown on Downing's 1740 town map so probably a PMed structure such as a water trough (?). Also see BSE 016 for town defences excavations & BSE 136 for this section of town defences.
