Full Description

1986: Fieldwalking by John Newman for South East Suffolk survey located extensive lithic scatter & 1 sherd, over 300m x 200m area, on "Field 449", on a promontory above the River Lark.

Finds consisted of 1 sherd hand-made flint-gritted pottery (Neolithic or Iron Age), 3 scrapers and over 100 flakes (S1).

Descriptions of flint finds are broad, dating to a specific period bracket is ill-advised. However, they may be later Prehistoric, based on context, (S2).
