Full Description

Fragment of an Arabic silver dirhem of Madinat al Salam, Bagdad 156/8 AH AD 772-775 (S1). Found with a metal detector on the rise to the side of the railway cutting (S2). Kufic coins are known from hoards in England, though this may be the only isolated find (S3).
