Full Description

Fragment of monumental brass from a canopy of circa 1400. 6cm x 6cm and 4mm thick including part of a shield bearing what may be part of a letter rather than an heraldic device - possibly part of a merchant's mark. Said to have been found (with metal detector?) circa 1979 at Kessingland but not by present owner. Rubbing held by Monumental Brass Society (S1)(S2). No further details as to findspot forwarded.
