Full Description
Poplar Farm. Small rectangular moat (three sides surviving), with the existing house in the NE corner.
Until 1885 this was in Hitcham parish. This was a copyhold tenement of the Manor of Hitcham called Pettwyns (a Henry Pitewyne is recorded as a customary tenant of the manor, with 10 acres, in 1251 - Ely Coucher Book). Called The Poplars by 1885, now called Poplar Farm.
