Full Description

Icehouse shown and named as 'Old Icehouse' on OS 1880s map, in former parkland S of (& serving) Wherstead Park mansion (see WHR 044). Icehouse Covert, named on 1838 1" and later maps. Grounds landscaped by Repton (sketches of 1794)(S1)(R1).
Icehouse still within wooded 'covert'.
Formerly (up to 15/3/2006) HER'd as WHR Misc.
