Full Description
? Icehouse. Palace (NKT 005) built by Charles II `was sold in 1819', together with `the Icewell .... situate upon Mount Pleasant' (S1)(R1). Between 4 & 7 ice-houses, circa 12 feet in diameter, were capped (by Newmarket Council?) in Summery 1963(?) prior to construction of Icewell Hill flats (S2)(R2).
The ice well was filled and sealed during the 1960s, no records are available (S3).
