Full Description
Small tower mill, dated 1821, probably built by George Bloomfield of Thelnetham. It ceased work in 1930 and was stripped out circa 1968. The tower has since had a large residence added to it and the stones and brake wheel are resting against the tower. There were four patent sails, a domed cap, fantail and three pairs of stones (S1).
Built for Duke of Grafton (S2). Within area of ring ditches BNH 005, 023 and round barrow, BNH 004. Named on Tithe Award and according to Dolman, "is a large, clearly visible, mound - ? confusion with BNH 004.
