Full Description
Sherds of IA pottery found in an area 20 feet x 6 feet on and alongside a footpath near a railway cutting (S1).
In September-October 1986 the excavation of an area approximately 7 feet x 2 feet by(see 'Not to be published on web' tab for finder/s and/or findspot/s) revealed a dark soil layer containing 184 LBA/EIA (W Harling style) sherds, largely flint gritted, one with a cabled rim. 37 abraded Rom grey ware sherds were recovered from the plough soil above the dark layer (S2).
