Full Description
Large, circa 3 hectares, oval decoy pond with remains of three ?arms on W side, the northernmost and southernmost of which are the course of the River Deben. Still appears to be in good condition and largely surrounded by trees on 1983 OS map. Adjoins Campsey Ash Priory (CAA 002). Listed as being disused in 1907 (S1). According to (S2) once formed part of the belongings of Campsea Ash Abbey (?). ?Further information with OS. Dated to 1616 (S3).
