Full Description

Sustantial group of pottery (5.5kg) from a field called Slough Hall, on the southern edge of the former Rush Green (S1). Main body of material is unglazed C13-C14 wares; there are also some lightly shell-tempered wares, possibly C12, and one rim of St Neot's ware, C11 or C12. Also some part- glazed sherds, probably from Grimston type jugs, C13-C14. In addition there are 36 lava millstone fragments (4.75kg), including one with two drilled perforations, and a gilt bronze buckle mount with three rivet holes. 1991: Additional sherds & another 2.27kg of lava millstone fragments found (S2).

Originally Bardwell parish but, since parish boundary changes, now in Stanton.
