Full Description

The "Dunwich Collection", `donated mainly by C Watling, who (is) known to have collected in (Dunwich) village and beach'. Items include `Late Saxon, possible brooch knob (&?) two strap ends (8-11D) poss(ibly) some Saxo/Norman pot'. Adds `presume (you) know (of) Saxon brooch... AS...BM Guide, p 130 no 15' (S1).
No mention of a brooch from Dunwich in 1923 edition of BM Guide (S2).
