Full Description

Small flint axe head, roughly sketched (S1). Described as `upper Palaeolithic .... beautifully worked in grey flint'. Found digging foundations for a bungalow `about 20 yards west of St Andrews church, Westhall. An old thatched cottage use to stand on this site but was demolished about 10 years ago' (circa 1960)(S1). Probably Neolithic?
