Full Description
Large post mill with three storey roundhouse. Built in 1797, it was raised in 1820 to a height of about 53 feet. It was struck by lightning in September 1928 and shortly after was demolished. The roundhouse remains as a store and still contains the post and trestle. There were four patent sails, two pairs of stones in the head and a fantail (S1).
According to Flint, it was dismantled in 1924 (S2). Location after OS 1st edition.
