Full Description
Large post mill with two storey roundhouse, built in 1882 by Whitmore G Binyon and the Clarkes to replace a post mill blown down in 1881. It ceased work circa 1936 and was pulled down in 1957. The roundhouse remains as a store. There were four patent sails, two pairs of stones in the head and a fantail (S1). Post mill first mapped 1825/6 (S2)(S3).
