Full Description

`Blackshore Mill. Small tower mill, built c.1890 by Robert Martin. It worked for a few years before its windshaft broke at the neck. It still stands derelict, with its cap frame and some machinery in place. The local school which owns it hopes to tidy it up and preserve it in the near future. There were four patent sails, a boat shaped cap with fantail and a triple plunger pump' (S1)(S2).
