Full Description

Scatter of part-glazed and unglazed pottery of late Med and Transitional type, C15 - early C16 along the edge of Old Farm Field, behind Holiday House (S1). The material includes some pieces with overfired glaze which are probably kiln wasters, indicating the presence of a pottery kiln or kiln dump. Similar material was recovered nearby as WYB 007 and elsewhere in Weybread, part of an extensive late Med pottery industry in this part of Suffolk.
