Full Description

Dispersed hoard of 67 silver denarii found metal detecting. Area of finds at least 50 yards across (and might be up to 100 yards across). A central area approx. 25 feet square was machined in 5" "spits" and a few coins were found on the natural clay surface but no trace of a container and no coins were corroded together (S1). Coins range from Galba (68-69) to Marcus Aurelius (170-171) and include two plated forgeries (S2). No other Rom finds noted in the area, a few Med-PMed objects.
