Vill of Bixley recorded in Domesday survey, 1086. Probably located around Bixley Hall (TM 2034 4410), Bixley Farm (TM 2037 4420) and Bixley Lane (TM 206 441) or possibly on field named `Bixley' on Rushmere St Andrew Tithe map & apportionment of circa 1840 (S1).
