Full Description

Metal detected gold quarter stater, late Clacton type (C1 BC), damaged one edge, indistinct shape with two projecting `legs', worn. Double line cross with central large pellet, semi-circle of small pellets in each quadrant, slight wear. Mack No 35, British F Clacton type 1, Van Arsdell 1460-1. Mainly known from Clacton hoard. Probable same dies as 1460-1. Weight 1.46gm (S1).
