Full Description
Three bronze disc brooches found with a metal detector (S1). Two are very similar - a central dimple is surrounded by a concave-sided lozenge, the apices of which terminate in interlace decoration. The third brooch is domed and very corroded, however, a central triangle design can be made out, surrounded by a series of lobes - can be paralleled by brooches with a central interlace trefoil knot with Borre-style animal heads in the spandrels, which are Viking imports of late C9/early C10 (S2).
