Full Description

May 1993: Flint `tortoise core' with one small piece of cortex remaining 6. 6cm by 6.0cms by 3.7cms. Found at TL 8294 7171, within recently imported soil (origin unknown) used to make up low areas in former chalk pit (for associated lime kiln see CUL 025). Spots of solidified solution (varnish?) on core and other materials in made up soil suggest importation from building(?) site.
