Full Description
Moat unoccupied, isolated but near BRP 002, circular (S1), around mound - probably mill mound.
Visited by volunteer Chris Davey September 1985, detailed notes made - see parish file (S2).
A sub-circular earthern mound and surrounding ditch, situated at the highest point of a relatively flat terrain. The mound is c 30.0m in overall diameter, with a flat top, and is completely overgrown. It is c 1.5m high above ground level. Spoil from burrows in the mound shows tile of no apparent antiquity. The surrounding ditch, c 4.0m wide and 1.0m deep, is waterfilled but rapidly silting.
