Full Description

A large feature with dark sandy fill containing pottery and tile fragments visible in the foundation trench for a small extension. Bottom of feature not reached at 1.75m below ground surface. An overlying silty layer, 0.50m thick, may also be Rom in date. Unstratified pottery included shell-gritted ware, middle-late Rom grey ware and one Med sherd (S1).
