Full Description

1619 map of Hoxne New Park (see HXN 022) shows an isolated building in a small rectangular enclosure in the middle of the northern part of the park. It is labelled `The Lodge' and is shown as an ornamental building two or three storeys high with pinnacles projecting above the eaves lines and an ornamental finial on top of the roof (S1). No longer extant, approximate site only.
