Summary

June 1994: Watching brief on footing trenches for extension/garage to adjoining funeral service premises located modern topsoil, overlaying circa 50cm deep (double dug?) soil containing PMed gunflint waste, tile, brick etc and C13/C14 pottery, in part overlying 4 thin undisturbed layers; the bottom of which contained one sherd of C13/C14 pottery (S1).
