Operated by: John Smith 1844-1855; Studd & Kersey 1864-1865; George Kersey 1868-1869; Thomas T Buckmaster 1873-1875; Henry Smith (manager) 1875; Xenophon Smith 1879; Mrs Charlotte Churchyard (exors of) 1883-1885; William Lowe 1892 and Samuel Newson & Sons 1896-1920 (S1). `Brickyard' on 1840 Tithe map. Note (related?) scatter of peg tile and clinker to E located as part of bypass assessment (S2).
