Extract from Hawkedon parish register of burials:
`April 20th 1844 - The bones of a human skeleton were (re-) interred at the North side of Hawkedon Churchyard. The skeleton was supposed to be a male and was found in a field called the First Woods on the Hungry (Hungriff?) Hall Farm within 15 yards of the stile leading to the Ten Acre, called Thurston Park within the said parish of Hawkedon' (S1).
