Full Description

Canal (or substantial drainage ditch) mostly with earthwork banks and two side channels, one to N and one to S, cutting out former stretch of River Blyth between Blythburgh and Halesworth. Shown on Hodskinson's map of 1783 but probably not (though not very good detail) on Bowen's map of 1755, suggesting construction between the two dates.
