Full Description

Series of rectilinear earthworks(?) visible on AP at `Pinmill' (S1).
The photograph reference above (S1) was not available for examination during the project but a second run of photographs from 1987 did not appear to show anything more than drains and natural features (S2). To the west of the area a small number of narrow linear banks are visible on aerial photographs taken in the 1940s, centred on TM 20183778. The dates and functions of these banks are unclear and they may be related to drainage clearance. (S3) (S4)
