Full Description
1969: PMed feature and finds from excavations by T Howlett "on the site of the Dominican Friary" (see Med) in Friars Street. "A timber-lined well 34.5 in by 33in and 9ft deep produced 11th to 17th century pottery, a 15th century floor tile, a gold pin, the remains of shoes and of a wooden bucket." (S1).
