Full Description

1994: Bronze saucer type brooch metal detected. Complete, with traces of iron pin and iron hinge between two lugs. Face gilded, worn and flat, rather than dished. Plain central white metal (rather than gilded), surrounded by symmetrically mirrored zoomorphic(?) design with excised band of two grooves forming border. Outer rim also has white metal (tinning?) instead of gilding. Diameter 35mm, disc 1.7mm thick (S1).
