Full Description
1994: Large (MSax?) pin with ornate gilded bronze head & bronze shaft. Found metal detecting by (see 'Not to be published on web' tab for finder/s and/or findspot/s). Length 7.5cm, width of head 2.4cm, thickness of head 0.3cm. 8-lobed flat head bears an equal- armed cross moline in relief. A small boss in the centre of the cross has a deep circular hole, said by the finder to have held a reddish stone, since lost. Two loops on the side of the head suggest that this is the centre pin of a linked set of three. See photograph and drawing in file. Detailed description in (S1).
Probably MSax though decoration relatively simple.
