Full Description

A mill is recorded at Playford in the Domesday survey. Water mill symbol shown on Hodskinson's map of 1783 (S1) at cited grid reference, between mere and main N-S road. Probably same as present buildings known as `The Millers House'.
Water mill still in existence in 1841 (S2).
