Full Description
Stone pestle with a spiral groove around its centre, 32.4cm long. Information from P Cole per Moyses Hall Museum (S1). Findspot given by C Pendleton (S2). Identified as Med pestle by BM (S1) but possibly Prehistoric, note similar pestles from Nottinghamshire and Shropshire (S3)(R1), and one identified petrologically from West Row Fen (NWHCM, number S144). Found by (see 'Not to be published on web' tab for finder/s and/or findspot/s) circa 1977, described in general terms as `pumice like stone' (S2).
